So we have neglected our blog a little recently...mostly because it's been too rainy in England to have Sunday day trips. We did however pop over to Spain for five days and visit the beautiful city of Barcelona! We ate amazing food, had a bike tour of the city, searched the city for hidden vintage hideouts, got drunk at a locals champagne bar and did a lot of walking/ sight seeing. Due to unfortunate circumstances, we lost half of our photographs...it's a good job memories last forever. FYI- green bike tours are great, horchata tastes odd, and Barcelona is our new favourite city.

Plough the shops of charity
Today Abbie and I went on a charity shop hunt to Harbourne and Moseley. Abbie is starting up a little vintage business and was on the look out for some little gems. She got some really cool clothes and I even found a few things for my house too! Little tip....never buy large frames, there so expensive! Go to a charity shop and pick up a picture in a large frame for a quarter of the price (and its more interesting anyway).
We also went to this really nice pub called The Plough. The food was really good (we grabbed the calzone deal), had a cool vibe and really nicely decorated. Check the pictures below.

In the dog house!
So Abbie and I are both off work today and decided to go to a really cool second hand furniture shop called the Dog House. We picked up some really cool pictures to add to our wall (I'll post a picture soon) for a bargain price.
We also stopped and had a look at Walsall's market. Abbie found two cool jumpers and a dress, whilst I picked up a few plain vests. There was a cool bloke playing the accordion, who posed for a pic which was funny. Looked like he was having a good time!
All in all, a very nice, productive day. X

Its spring, and the house is clean.
A clean house makes for a clean mind (probably). Today I gave Andrew my weekly cleaning gift, and the palace is looking lovely. Sunshine is my motivator.

Spring Sunshine.
Today is beautiful. The sun is shining over the reservoir, and ice-cream van music reminds me of the days we spent lazing on the (somewhat stony) man-made res beach last summer, learning to use our lomography Diana F+ and playing the 'what does that cloud look like' game (very good game). Hopefully the weather will be this nice for the weekend, we may rent bikes or find a nice park to picnic in. I'm looking forward to a bike ride in the sunshine...although it will be my first time on a bike in about 6 years. I'm sure Andy will have lots of fun watching me struggle!
I'll leave you with some of our first Diana F+ summer shots.
